The WPN replaced the need for the breadcrumbs, so the breadcrumbs were removed in favor of a header that indicates the selected workplace and project (if any).
Brand New - Reports Mode
Reports have always been a part of OnePlace. However, it was not obvious since they were scattered throughout the application.
OnePlace now has a dedicated Report mode that you can use to access the report functionality very quickly.

Project Report

Major update to how OnePlace tracks activity/changes
You can see exactly
who
did
what
to each piece of data in OnePlace, and
when
they did it.
You can see the activity that your entire team has performed in the "Team Activity" panel on your home page
You can see the activity that a teammate has performed in the "Teammate Activity" panel on that teammate's page
You can see the activity performed on items in a specific workplace on the "Workplace Activity" panel on the Workplace's Dashboard.
Notifications sent when something is updated (such as a task) now contain the details of what was changed.
Action Icon Changes
Converted the Action Icons that used to pop up when you hovered your mouse over an item title (.e.g. A task title) to be a panel.
This panel can be configured to automatically pop up when you hover over the new "Action" text after each item or only when you click the mouse on that "Actions" link.
You can also configure the icons in each Action Panel to have a label next to the icon. No more need to remember what each icon does.

Themes
We added the capability to choose different themes for OnePlace.
We currently offer three themes, Ocean (default), Forest and Steel. More to come.
Flagging Tasks
You can now flag a task by clicking on the little flag icon right in front of the task title. Task flagging provides a nice way to keep track of important tasks and an easy way to access them.
Some people schedule their work (we highly recommend doing this), whereas some people prefer not to do this. Task flagging was mainly added for people who don't schedule their tasks.
Tasks that you flagged appear in the "My Flagged Tasks" panel on your Home page.
You can also see the tasks a teammate has flagged in the "Teammate's Flagged Tasks" panel on that teammate's page.
Moved 'All Tasks' to a mode
All Tasks' used to be in a tab on the Home page. There is now a toolbar icon to access an entire page dedicated to seeing and working with all tasks you have visibility to (private and shared).

Added a new "Client Information" feature for a workplace
A common use for a workplace is to collaborate with your client/customer. Now you can enter information about that client for a workplace.
When enabled, client information is displayed on a panel on the Workplace Dashboard.

The Quick Reference page was found to be too much information for a new user. So, we replaced it with information to help a new user get familar with OnePlace very quickly.
The new Quick Start page will appear each time you sign into OnePlace, until you uncheck the 'Show the Quick Start the next time you sign in' check box at the bottom of the Quick Start page.
If you turn off the Quick Start page, and later would like to get it back, check the 'Show the Quick Start the next time you sign in' option in your preferences.

Search Enhancements
You can now search all types of data with a single search! This was a highly requested enhancement by our customers.
When searching by "All", search results will be grouped by data type
You can now perform "Begins with", "Ends with", "Contains", "Exact Match" searches
The Search now finds matches in discussion titles, descriptions and messages (posts). The old search only looked for matches in discussion messages.
Data details are now collapsed by default
When viewing something like a project, task or file, the box containing the details/properties of that thing is now collapsed by default.
If you are someone who likes to see the details, there is a new user preference for specifying that you want the details to be expanded by default. Just uncheck the "Collapse details on all Detail views" check box under the "General" section of the User Preferences.
Data details now always show the "Created On" and "Created By" properties
OnePlace used to only show these values if the item hadn't been modified yet.
Added a new "project_path" column to the Task Export file
This column contains the full path for the parent project of a task. So, if a task belongs to the "Project B" project, and that project belongs to the "Project A" project, the project_path value for that task will be "Project A\Project B".
Task effort totals (estimated, actual, remaining) now display on the Workplace and Project reports
These totals appear on the report if you choose to show tasks on the report, and, the report contains projects that track time.

Enhancement: The filter on the Tasks tab within a workplace was enhanced to allow you to filter tasks by a specific user or date range.

Note that the Tasks tab filters now match the filters on the "All Tasks" section of the Home page.

You can still move the inbasket notes to your Trash if you so desire.
Change: You must now confirm archiving and trashing of workplaces and projects.

Bug Fix: Increased the maximum size of the workplace description field to 20,000 characters.

Tasks in this report were not being properly grouped together by project.

These notifications can be turned off via Account > User Preferences if you don't want to receive them.
Change: The Inbasket now defaults to the first page of items when you click on the Inbasket button in the global toolbar.
The Inbasket used to remember the last page that you were on, however this was confusing for some users who didn't expect this behavior.
The Inbasket will still remember the last page as you click between the 'Received' and 'Sent' tabs.
Bug Fix: Fixed a crash in the 'Project Save As' feature
Sunday, May 03rd, 2009 at 07:30 AM

The custom fields are included when exporting tasks, and are also displayed when viewing task details.
Enhancement: The task export file now contains a 'Project Manager' column
Enhancement: Team account administrators can now re-send activation emails
The internet is a strange goofy place where email sometimes ends up lost for no reason. Because of this, we've added the ability for team account administrators to send pending users another activation email.
To do this, go to the Account > Team Account > Users panel, hover over the name of a pending user, and click the email icon in the pop up toolbar.
Enhancement: Updated the Project Details report to include 'attached to' information for attached notes, lists and discussions.
Notes, lists and discussions displayed on the Project Details report now include the thing that they are attached to. This is helpful for differentiating between things named the same but in different sub-projects.
Change: We simplified the Deadlines feature on the Home page
By default, the Deadlines tab and info panel on the Home page would factor in unassigned tasks with deadlines, as well as tasks assigned to the current user. If you didn't want this behavior, you had to change a user preference to turn it off. This was causing confusion for several users who didn't know about the default behavior, and were wondering why the Deadlines info panel kept telling them they had overdue tasks when the Deadlines tab didn't show any tasks. So, we decided to simplify things, and fix the Deadlines feature to only display tasks with deadlines that are assigned to the current user.
Bug Fix: OnePlace will now warn you when viewing a report if your browser has pop-up blocking turned on, and this prevents the report window from opening.

This panel is a handy way to know who is currently subscribed to receive comment notifications for either a file or task.

Included in this enhancement is a brand new 'File Details' view, which displays information about the different versions of the file, the comments that have been posted on the file, and a set of actions you can perform on the file. You access the 'File Details' view by clicking on the title of a file.

.

Tasks already had this feature.
Enhancement: Added a user preference for instructing OnePlace to remember/restore the last tab you were on within a project.

Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in the Project report that prevented the report from displaying if the Project had a List attached to it.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in the iPhone when paging through discussions. If a filter was applied to the list of discussions, it would be lost when paging from page 1 to another page.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in the export feature. The status column was incorrect. We also added the priority column to the export.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in the export feature with the Preview functionality.
If you exported tasks from the Team Account or Personal Account page, the preview would show more tasks than what would actually be exported to file.
The extra tasks were from the 'other' account (i.e. from the user's personal account when exporting team tasks, and vice versa).
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug that happened if you reassigned a task using the 'Assign Task' action in the 'Task Details' view. The person being unassigned from the task was not receiving a system notification that they should have received.
Bug Fix: Fixed a sort issue on the Received tab of the Inbasket when using the 'group by' feature.
If you were sorting on 'Created On', and grouping by 'From', the sort was being ignored. The result was that the inbasket notes within each group were not sorted properly.
Monday, March 09th, 2009 at 09:00 PM
Bug Fix: Fixed a crash on the Received tab of the inbasket when the page automatically refreshes, and there are no received inbasket notes.

This was done for tasks, projects, discussions, files, lists and notes.
Enhancement: Added a 'Recent Activity' panel to the Home page for users who don't belong to any shared workplaces.
This panel shows the last three task activities that were performed in the past 24 hours.
Hovering over the task title will display the full title. Hovering over the elapsed time will display the date and time of the activity, along with a description of the activity (New, Updated, Completed, Archived, Trashed).
Enhancement: Enhanced the Add/Edit Task dialog to allow you to complete a task and apply time to the task in one step.
If you set the status of the task to 'Completed', fields will appear to allow you to enter the actual effort an a description of the work.
This is just a shorthand way to enter time for a task. You can still continue to use the Time Entry dialog to apply time to a task one or more times if you want to.
This will be useful if you find yourself entering tasks for things you've already done (i.e. unplanned work).
Enhancement: Added the ability to show/hide completed tasks in the Calendar
This is a handy way to focus just on remaining work in your schedule.
OnePlace will remember this setting for you.
Enhancement: Added the ability to turn off auto-pulsing at the account level.
If you find the auto-pulsing that occurs when tasks are started/completed too 'chatty' for your team, you can disable this behavior for your team account.
To disable auto-pulsing, go to Account | Team Account | Account Actions, and click on the 'Disable Auto-pulsing' link.

Change: The Deadlines tab on the Home page now only shows upcoming and overdue projects for which you are the project manager.
Bug Fix: The buttons of data-entry dialogs are now disabled when data is being retrieved from the server.
Several data-entry dialogs call out to the server to retrieve information when you click on certain controls. For example, when changing the workplace in the Add Task dialog. This fixes a problem where users were clicking on the 'Save' or 'Save and Add' buttons before the server call had completed and updated the dialog properly.
Bug Fix: Removed project links from the 'Export Tasks' preview that weren't functional.
Bug Fix: Fixed the problem where drilling into a task that didn't match the current tasks filter would display the wrong task.
Bug Fix: Tasks that are complete now always return 0.0 for remaining effort.
Bug Fix: If time is applied to a task that has a status of planned the task status is now set to Paused. It was setting to In Progress and thus starting the elapsed time counter.
Sunday, February 15th, 2009 at 08:00 AM
New Feature: Introducing the OnePlace Dashboard

Please refer to

for more details on how to install the OnePlace Dashboard, or to learn more about this exciting new feature.

If you have a task with time tracking turned on and you set the task to in progress, OnePlace will start an internal timer to keep track of the elapsed time on the task. We also added a new 'Paused' task status. This allows you to stop the time tracking without actually completing the task.
Please refer to
here
for more information on the 'Time Tracking' feature.
Enhancement: Added attachment information (and links) to the task details.
You can now see wether there any files or notes attached to a task without having to drill into the task. If you click on the count next to the attachment OnePlace will drill into the task.

The Note can be added to any Workplace/Project/Task that you have access to. Once the new Note has been saved OnePlace trashes the promoted Inbasket Note.
Enhancement: Added the capability to promote a Discussion Entry to a Task or Project.
The contents of the Discussion Entry will become the description for the Task/Project.

This section displays information about the progress of work in the project (and its sub-projects) for each user who has task assignments in the project.
Enhancement: Enhanced the ability to filter tasks on the 'All Tasks' view on your Home page.
We added user-based filters, which allow you to choose a specific user as part of the filter. For example, "Show all tasks assigned to Tara Bishop", or "Show all tasks completed by Ray Smith".
We also added date-based filters, which allow you to specify a timeframe as part of the filter. For example, "Show all tasks that I worked on between 2/1/09 and 2/28/09", or "Show all tasks that have a deadline between 2/15/09 and 2/25/09."
Enhancement: When grouping data by workplace or project, the group titles are now links that can be clicked on to go to the workplace or project.
Enhancement: The Workplace Dashboard now remembers when you collapse any of its panels (Statistics, Members, Recent Activity).
Bug Fix: When a sub project was moved from one Workplace to another the attached information (sub projects/tasks/notes/files/lists) did not get moved.
This has been fixed. When this upgrade was applied we ran through all the data in OnePlace to ensure that that data links were correct and that all the items that are attached to a project are in the same workplace.
In doing this it was possible that a task was moved from a Workplace to where the parent project was moved to.
If the task was assigned to a person not in the new workplace then that task was unassigned/unscheduled and a notifcation was sent to the original assigned to user.
Bug Fix: Fixed a crash when printing a List using the Printer icon that appears when you hover over the list's title.
Bug Fix: Fixed a crash in Search that was happening for 'External' workplace members who were doing a 'Tag' search.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in Search where links to urls were not being formatted properly.
This bug would occur when the text you were searching for occurred in a url within the data you were searching. The result was that the link OnePlace created for that url would not function properly.
Bug Fix: Fixed an issue on the Task dialog with the 'Assigned to' control
When choosing a workplace or a project for the task being added/edited, a call is made to the server to retrieve the proper list of 'Assigned to' users. If you happened to change the 'Assigned to' user during the time the call was being made, your selection may have been overwritten/lost, resulting in the task being assigned to the wrong person.
This issue was resolved by disabling the 'Assigned to' control while a call to the server is being processed.
