Monthly Calendar
OnePlace has a calendar that gives you the familiar looking monthly view, and the ability to view events, tasks and projects for when they are scheduled to occur. You can customize the view of your calendar by using the settings in the gray sidebar on the left side of the calendar. You can elect to show/hide events, projects, task deadlines and scheduled tasks. You can also show/hide completed tasks and projects

To add something to the calendar, either click the "Add" button in the sidebar, or, hover over a day in the calendar and click the little green "+" icon that appears. You can add events, projects and tasks to your calendar.
This view blends together information across all the workplaces that you are a member of. While this is great to give you a birds eye view of what's going on in your OnePlace world, at times it may be too much information. No problem, you can easily hide information from select workplaces by un-checking (hiding) those workplaces in the Calendars lists in the settings sidebar.
OnePlace also provides a way for you to publish your scheduled events to external calendars such as Outlook, Google Calendar, and any other calendaring application that supports the standard iCal format. You can do this by turning on the iCal feed for your calendar. Simply click the iCal feed link in the settings sidebar, and a dialog will pop up allowing you to turn on the feed, and providing you with the feed url that you can enter into an external calendar application.
Scheduled Tasks Calendar
A key philosophy of OnePlace is that planning, scheduling and doing are three distinct and separate activities. Only you know everything that is going on in your life, and what impacts your ability to do certain tasks from day to day. So, whom better to schedule the work than you? The 'Scheduled Tasks' tab of your OnePlace Calendar provides a place where you can view all the work you need to do (personal and shared), and allows you to organize when you think you can get things done.

You can adjust the days that appear in the calendar by doing one of the following:
- Scroll the calendar one day at a time - Click the up and down arrow icons to the left of the title of the top and bottom days shown in the calendar to scroll one day at a time.
- Scroll the calendar one week at a time - Click the left and right arrow icons in the light blue toolbar to scroll one week at a time.
- Make today the top date in the calendar - Click the "Jump to Today" link in the light blue toolbar to make today the first date shown in the calendar.
- Start the calendar on a specific date - Click the "Jump to Date" link in the light blue toolbar to pick a specific date as the first date shown in the calendar.
Clicking the "Show completed tasks" check box will show/hide tasks on your schedule that have been completed. Use this feature as a way to quickly reduce the amount of information shown in your calendar.
Subscribing to Your OnePlace Calendar with iCal
With the update to our Monthly Calendar, we've also included the ability to share and subscribe to your OnePlace Monthly Calendar via iCal. By subscribing to your OnePlace calendar, you'll be able to pull information on your OnePlace calendar into any calendaring application that supports the iCal format (e.g. Outlook, Google, iCal on the Mac, etc).
Please Note: The OnePlace iCal Subscription is 'read only'. This means the views in your Outlook or Google calendars, if modified, will not be 'synced' back into OnePlace.
Publishing Your iCal Feed
First thing's first - before you can subscribe to your OnePlace calendar from another calendaring application, you first need to tell OnePlace to publish your iCal feed. When viewing your Monthly Calendar, click on the orange RSS icon next to the words 'iCal Feed'. A dialog box will pop up asking if you'd like to publish your iCal feed. When you click 'Yes' the box will expand giving you the URL from which to view your OnePlace Calendar. Copy this URL. You'll need it for the next steps.
Adding Your OnePlace Calendar Feed to Outlook 2007
Outlook 2007 has native support for iCal. When you have Outlook 2007 open, select 'File' and then 'Data File Management.' Select the 'Internet Calendars' tab. Click 'New' and then paste the iCal URL into the field. Hit 'Add.'
Next you'll need to configure the subscription. The name of the calendar file displays next to 'Folder Name.' Change it if necessary. Add a description to make the calendar easy to identify if you install additional calendars. Check whether you want attachments to download from the Internet calendar under 'Attachments.' Finally, select whether you want the subscription according to the publisher's recommendations. Checking this option ensures that you will not exceed the publisher's limitations and risk having your calendar account suspended. Click 'OK' when finished.
Then you'll want to utilize your new calendar. Click 'Close' to return to Outlook 2007. After the Internet calendar is updated, it will display under 'Other Calendars' in the Calendars section of Outlook 2007. Select it to manage your activities as you want them displayed on the Internet. You can use your Internet Calendar as you would internal Outlook 2007 calendars, such as displaying them side-by-side for easy copying of items from one to another.
Adding Your OnePlace Calendar Feed to Outlook 2003
If you'd like to add your OnePlace Calendar iCal feed into Outlook 2003, you'll need an add-on, as iCal functionality is not built-in. We recommend using Remote Calendar. Because Remote Calendar is an open source project, support is limited, and available at the Remote Calendar Forum.
Using Remote Calendar: Click on the PLUS icon in the Remote Calendar toolbar to add a new Calendar. Copy and paste your OnePlace Calendar iCal feed URL, and type in your new calendar's name. Click 'OK'.
Adding Your OnePlace Calendar Feed to Your Google Calendar
Incorporating your iCal feed into your Google calendar is easy. Just sign into your Google Calendar Account. Navigate to 'Other Calendars' and click on the 'Add' link. Then click 'Add by URL' and paste your OnePlace iCal URL into the address field and click 'Add'. Be patient - it may take a bit before things from your OnePlace calendar start appearing in Google Calendar.
